Brown, John Thompson, 1802-1836
John Thompson Brown was born in 1802 near Bedford, Va. and was the son of Henry Brown (1760-1841). He was a graduate of Princeton and read law under Creed Taylor. He served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates and as a member of the Virginia Constitutional Convention of 1829-1830. He moved from Clarksburg, W. Va. to Petersburg, Va. in 1830 and was again elected to the House of Delegates. Brown died in 1836.
