Hide Profile

The DePeyster family papers are the product of a number of marriages between several prominent colonial families. Included in these families are the Watts family, Delancey family, Johnson family, and the Warren family. The central figure in the papers relationship is John Watts, Junior. His sister married Sir John Johnson and his daughter married into the DePeyster family. His descendants donated these papers to the N.Y.S. Library.
