Challenger (Frigate)
The ship in which Captain Fremantle took possession of Western Australia for the British Crown in 1829. It arrived off the Swan River on 25 April 1829 and left for India on 28 August 1829. Formal possession was taken on 2 May and the first settlers arrived on 1 June.
