Denver Dry Goods Company (Colo.)
Denver retail establishment, formed in 1894 by Dennis Sheedy with his purchase of McNamara Dry Goods which was established in 1886. In 1924 it was purchased by Scruggs, Vandervoort & Barney of St. Louis. Sold in 1964 to Associated Dry Goods Company of New York City. Sold in 1986 to Denver's May D & F Company. In 1988 the Denver Urban Renewal Authority purchased the 16th Street building.
