Box, Clyde, 1912-
Clyde Box (b. 1912, Nevada, Tex.), major general in the U.S. Air Force was commander of the Third Air Force, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, headquartered at South Ruislip, England, from October 1966 to August 1968. From August 1968 until his retirement in November 1972, he served as Deputy Inspector General at Headquarters U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C.
