Allen, Archie C.,
Mr. Allen, born in 1918 in Speigner, Ala., was a Marine Corps aviator in World War 2 (enlistment 1942-1946). He trained in Naval Air Stations in the Southeast U.S. then served in the Phillipines and China. He held the rank of Captain in the 1st Marine Air Wing, Marine Air Group 12, VMF 211, and won the Air Medal with 2 Gold Stars.
