Thompson, Calvin Miles, 1866-1944.
C.M. Thompson was assistant pastor to T.T. (Thomas Treadwell) Eaton at Walnut Street Baptist Church. He held pastorates at Portland Ave. Baptist Church and Baptist Tabernacle, Louisville, Ky. He served for 2 years as editor of the Western Recorder and was president of the Baptist Book Concern, 1907-1909. He became pastor of First Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, Ky. and later of First Baptist Church, Winchester, Ky. He was elected corresponding secretary of Kentucky Baptists, serving 1921-1938 and was moderator of the General Association of Baptists in Kentucky, 1911-1913.

Southern Baptist clergyman and student at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He received his Th.M. from the seminary in 1898. From 1907-09 he served as editor of the Western Recorder, the Kentucky Baptist state paper. He served as Corresponding Secretary/Treasurer for the Kentucky Baptist Convention from 1921 to 1938. He served as minister to churches in New York, West Virginia, and Kentucky.
