War Control Planners.

War Control Planners, chartered in 1963 in New York State, was organized by Harriet B. Kurtz and Howard G. Kurtz. Its purpose was to foster exploration and discussion of scientific and technical achievements to facilitate the protection of all nations against future wars. Emphasis was on developing a Global Information Cooperative similar to the U.S. Earth Resources Technology Satellite, ERTS-1. Harriet Kurtz, an ordained minister, died in 1977, leaving her husband Howard, an engineer, to carry on their life work. Their concept was of interest to the United Nations as well as individual countries, including Australia and France.
