Honor Ferguson and her husband lived near Salem, Ohio, toward the end of their lives. In 1840, they sold their property and resolved to move to Chillicothe, Ohio. They had at least one son, who owned a small farm near Cincinnati, Ohio, and their grandchildren included William and Mary Louise Dandy of Cincinnati. Ferguson described herself as a Methodist.
James Creighton Odiorne was born in London, England, on June 4, 1802, and moved to the United States with his parents as an infant. After attending the Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, he graduated from Yale (1826) and earned a master's degree from King's College in Nova Scotia. Odiorne became a businessman and helped found the New England Antislavery Society. On June 25, 1828, he married Susan Elizabeth Warren (1806-1851) of Framingham, Massachusetts, with whom he had six children: Edward Gordon, James Creighton, Amelia Maria, George Langdon, Susan Huntington, and Charles Creighton. Odiorne married his second wife, Frances Matilda Meacham, on June 8, 1870.
