Princeton University's Program in Hellenic Studies was founded in 1979. Operating under the general direction of the Council of Humanities and with the financial support of the Stanley J. Seeger Hellenic Fund, the Program in Hellenic Studies administers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs as well as visiting fellowships. The Program also offers summer programs abroad, primarily in Greece. As an interdisciplinary program, the Hellenic Studies faculty is mainly comprised of professors and lecturers from other departments such as the Department of Classics and the Department of History.
