Diers, Herman H.
Alonzo Chappel (1828-1887), an American painter best known for his depictions of people and events from the American Revolution and the Antebellum Era, was born on Bowery St. in New York City. He resided in Brooklyn, New York from 1848 to 1866, and died in the town of Middle Island, New York.
