Sarah Riddle, a native of San Antonio, married Robert Eagar in 1866 and was the mother of three children, Florence, Blance, and Fannie. Both Sarah Eagar and Florence Eagar Roberts were active members of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and both served as custodians of the Alamo for the DRT.
