Livingston, J. W. (John W.), 1908-
Chairman of the UAW-CIO Local 25 strike committee during the 1936-37 strike in the G.M. plant which forced recognition of the UAW-CIO by the corporation. Four terms president of UAW-CIO Local 25. International representative iof UAW/GM Dept. Executive board director of UAW Region 5. Vice-president of the UAW in 1947. Director of the UAW's operations in the aircraft and agricultural implement departments in 1948. Also served on the National Wage Stabilization Board.
