Humphreys, William C., b. ca. 1832
William C. Humphreys was a member of Company F, 8th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry. This unit was formed in Fulton County, Georgia, and called the "Atlanta Greys." Humphreys enlisted in the Confederate States Army on May 22, 1861. Humphreys was captured at the 1st Battle of Manassas (Bull Run), on July 21, 1861.
