Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers International Union.
This skilled craft union formalized as the Glass Bottle Blowers' Association in 1895, affiliating with the American Federation of Labor in 1899. In 1906 it won in a recruitment rivalry with the American Flint Glass Workers' Union (AFGWU) and after numerous mergers, it became the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers International Union in 1988.
