Cameron, Donald, 1878-1962.
Became Secretary of the Victorian Socialist Party in 1919, held office as President of the Victorian A.L.P. and the Melbourne Trades Hall Council. In 1937 he was elected to the Senate, where he was Postmaster-General and Deputy Leader of the Government from 1945-1949. He retired in 1962.

Born in Melbourne in 1878, he migrated to Western Australia in the 1890s. Returned to Victoria after helping arrange John Curtin's move to Perth. Became Secretary of the Victorian Socialist Party in 1919, held office as President of the Victorian A.L.P. and the Melbourne Trades Hall Council. In 1937 he was elected to the Senate, where he was Postmaster-General and Deputy Leader of the Government from 1945-1949. He retired in 1962.
