Casey family.
Lord Casey (1890-1976) had a varied political career that included Federal Treasurer, Minister of State in the British War Cabinet, and Minister for External Affairs (1915-1960). He was Governor of Bengal 1944-1946 and Australian Governor-General from 1965-1969. Lord Casey's father, Richard Gardiner Casey Senior (1846-1919) was a pastoralist, politician and businessman. His grandfather was Cornelius Gavin Casey (1810-1896), a colonial medical officer and pastoralist.
