Variant namesStephen J. Cannell was a well known television writer and producer. Born in Pasadena, California in 1941, Cannell started writing television scripts in the 1960s. He went on to write scripts for numerous popular television shows, including "The A-Team" (1983-1987), "Hunter" (1984-1991), and "Hardcastle and McCormick" (1985). Cannell started producing television shows in the 1970s and went on to produce a number of popular television shows, including "Hunter", "The A-Team", and "Riptide" (1984-1986). Cannell also founded Stephen J. Cannell Productions, which produced many of the television shows he wrote and produced.
