Saint Clair County (Mich.). Probate Court.
The two volumes are the recording of the proceedings of the Probate Court for St. Clair County, held at Clay (now Algonac), during which the estates of those who died intestate were settled. At this time, St. Clair County included what is now St. Clair, Huron, Sanilac, Tuscola and part of Lapeer counties. John K. Smith was the probate judge who handled most of the work, though Hosea Powers also judged some cases.
