Hood, Flora, 1898-1974
Variant namesFlora Mae Hood was born July 1, 1898 in Louisville, Kentucky. She taught at various schools in North Carolina and South Carolina, and later for the Bureau of Indian Affairs on reservations in Arizona, New Mexico, and North Carolina. She then became a full time writer publishing a number of children's books.
