Thompson, Wilder T., 1801-1871.
Wilder T. Thompson was born in Topsham, Maine, on March 20, 1801. The Thompson family was active in the shipping industry, and Wilder was a brother of prominent California merchant Alpheus B. Thompson. Wilder worked in shipping in New York, and sailed to California on board the Falcon in 1849. He died in 1871.
