Egleston, J. W.
J.W. Egleston was born in New York. He came to Indiana around 1817 and settled in Dearborn County. He served in the Indiana House of Representatives, 1838-1839, and with the 83rd Indiana Volunteer Infantry durng the Civil War at the ranks of captain and major.
