Adam, Robert Borthwick, 1918-1993 (III)
Robert Borthwick Adam was born July 4, 1918. He was the son of Robert Borthwick Adam (1863-1940) and Lena Benjamin Stevens Adam (1879-1940). The elder Robert B. Adam was a prolific book and manucript collector, as was his father before him. With his sisters, Robert Borthwick Adam, III sold the collection to Donald and Mary Hyde in 1948 after their father's death. He died September 10, 1993 in Buffalo, New York.
