Pohjan Leimu Temperance Society (Soudan, Minn.).
The Pohjan Leimu Temperance Society was the first Finnish temperance society in Minnesota. It originally belonged to the Independent Order of Good Templars. In 1888, the Pohjan Leimu and four other lodges resigned from the Good Templars and formed the National Finnish Temperance Brotherhood in America, the first all-Finnish temperance organization in the United States.
