University of Wyoming. War Activities Council.

The War Activities Council was formed in 1942 at the University of Wyoming in response to World War II. The council kept records of individuals across the state, which were involved in the war. The purpose of the council was to recognize and record the efforts of the men and women from Wyoming serving in each of the four branches of the armed forces. The council also collected a small amount of materials relating to Wyoming and the University's experience in World War I.
