Confederate States of America. Army. Alabama Cavalry Regiment, 4th (Roddey's).
Roddey's Fourth Ala. Cavalry Regiment was formed at Tuscumbia, Ala. in 1862 Oct. The group was originally sent to central Tenn. but returned to north Ala. early in the spring of 1863. It spent much of the war in northern Ala. repelling raids and attacking enemy troops.
