Dorothy Dodd was a graduate of Florida State College for Women, became the state librarian in Florida in 1941 and served as the 1st state archivist in Fla.; she established a large Fla. collection at the State Library and authored articles and books on Fla., including "Florida, the land of romance"; she died at age 91 in 1994.
