Gilmer, John Adams, 1857-1912.
John Adams Gilmer was graduated from Davidson College in 1880. While a student, he was a member of the Philanthropic Society. After graduation, Gilmer taught school in Morganton, NC and was a minister in Thyatira, Newton, and Mt. Airy, NC.
