Faw family.
The Faw family traces its ancestry to the "Pfau" family from Switzerland who settled in Ashe County, N.C., near Mountain City, Tenn.
George Faw was the grandfather of Harry Faw who began the Faw Real Estate Agency and the Faw Trust Co. in Johnson City, Tenn. On the maternal side the Faws descended from the DeVaults (DeWalds) of Alsace.
