Helen Hargrave, a 1926 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, served as Assistant Law Librarian (1930-1939) and Law Librarian (1939-1965) at the Tarlton Law Library, University of Texas, and continued to work part-time for the library from 1965 until her retirement in 1971. She served as President of the American Association of Law Libraries and contributed substantially to the planning of the law libraries of UT Austin, Texas Southern University, and the Texas Supreme Court.
