Arthur Whipple Crawford (1885-?) was an economist and newspaper correspondent. He was born in Sparta, Wisconsin, and educated at Beloit College and American University. He worked as a political and legislative reporter for Chicago newspapers, and later for New York newspapers. In 1934 he became research director of the American Liberty League, and the author of forty-five of its pamphlets. He became staff specialist in finance, money, and banking for the Chamber of Commerce of the United States, and subsequently for Tax Foundation, Inc.
