Louisiana State Dental Society.
The Louisiana State Dental Society was a professional organization within the American Dental Association. Most of its activity was centered in New Orleans. The Society opposed the Wagner-Murray Bill (Senate Bill Number 1161), which proposed the socialization of several branches of the medical profession, including dentistry. It was also committed to the war effort during World War II, soliciting members to purchase war bonds. The Society supported the needs of dentists in the armed services, returning to civilian life.
