Upper Alton Presbyterian Sabbath School Society (Upper Alton, Ill.)
On January 5, 1842, several residents of Upper Alton, Illinois, adopted a constitution for the Upper Alton Presbyterian Sabbath School Society. The group met weekly on Sundays until at least July 1850, bringing local residents and younger students together for religious study. The number of students present at each meeting varied from around 10 to over 50.
