Jimmie Pete Zepeda, 1914-2001, was a local, state and national civic leader. He helped found the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce and the U. S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He was the first Fort Worth Hispanic elected to the Tarrant County Junior College Board of Trustees. Juanita Zepeda, his wife, served on the Fort Worth Park and Recreation Board and was a leader in education at Tarrant County Community College.
