McNaughton, Kenneth P. (Kenneth Perry), 1903-1974
Kenneth Perry McNaughton (b. 1903, Alto, Mich.-d. June 16, 1974), U.S. Air Force officer, graduated from West Point in 1926 and from the Air Corps Advanced Flying School in 1929. After technical training, he assumed command of the 11th Photographic Section, 5th Composite Air Group in Hawaii, and later was commanding officer, 20th Photo Section at Randolph Air Force Base. During the early years of World War II, he was assigned to the West Coast Air Corps Training Center as executive officer and then assistant chief of staff for operations. He later served as chief of staff of the Army Air Force Training Command. In 1945, General McNaughton served as director of administration and chief of staff, Strategic Air Forces on Guam; and the next year as chief of staff of the 8th Air Force on Okinawa. After serving for three years as vice commander, Far East Air Force in Japan, he retired in 1956.
