The Ambassador Bridge, which spans the Detroit River, linking Detroit (Mich.) and Windsor (Ontario, Canada), was constructed between 1927 and 1929. The project was coordinated by Detroit businessman Joseph A. Bower, and was designed and constructed by McClintic-Marshall Company of Pittsburgh (Penn.).
