Livchak, Vera,
Vera Livchak, a personal friend of the Sakharov family, and, as a doctor, monitored Andrei Sakharov's health during his hunger strike in 1974. In 1978 Vera Livchak immigrated to Israel where she actively participated in the Sakharov defense campaign.
