Pony Miners Union (Pony, Mont.)
Hide Profile
Pony, Mont., originated in the late 1860s because of placer mining activity, however gold discovery in the area was fairly limited until the advent of quartz mining in the late 1870s. The success of this hard rock mining hit its peak in the early 1900s but by 1910 was on the decline. During this time the Pony Miner's and Millmen's Union was active.
