Eberts, Bernard L.

Bernard L. "Dutch" Eberts was a student at the Catholic University of America from 1920 to 1924 and was very active in the sports program. He was the Captain of the 1923 football squad, until muscular rheumatism forced him to retire early in the season. After graduation, he went on to become a recognized Athletic Official (Referee) for collegiate basketball and football in Washington, D.C., and he received many citations for his excellence. He later married Ruth Elder of Newark, New Jersey.
