The Children's Aid Association was formed by the merger of the Boston Children's Aid Society and the Boston Society for the Care of Girls in 1922. It merged with the Boston Children's Friend Society in 1960 to become the Boston Children's Services Association. The CAA was a private child welfare agency that dealt with foster care placements, adoptions and counseling.
