Hide Profile

Josephine A. Few was born at Leavenworth, Kansas in February 1884 to George W. and Mary Few. George Few was one of the area's early settlers. Josephine Few's grandfather, Dr. Samuel Few, arrived in Kansas Territory in the 1850s, and was among signatories to the original articles drawn up for Leavenworth's founding. Though he resided in Leavenworth, he owned a Leavenworth County farm near the community of Kickapoo, which was rich in mineral springs. Ownership of the property passed to George W. Few, and then to Josephine Few.
