Walker, George Washington, 1800-1859
Variant namesBecame a member of the Society of Friends in 1827 and came to Australia as a missionary in 1831. After working in Australia, Mauritius and South Africa, he settled in Hobart, 1840, where he was active in charitable causes and a member of the Society for the Suppression of Vice.
