Ransom, W. A. (Will A.)
W.A. Ransom was professor of English at Arlington State College and its predecessors from 1919 to 1954. He also served as head of the English Department and was the first Shorthorn adviser, the first basketball coach, and the first tennis coach. In addition he directed plays, coached the debate team, and was the school's director of public information for nine years.
