Vliet, John, b. 1835.

John Vliet (b. 1835) was a soldier in the 84th New York Infantry Regiment, commonly known as the 14th Regiment of the New York State Militia, or the "Fighting 14th," during the American Civil War. After the War, several members of the 84th Regiment reenlisted for service in the New York State National Guard, though it is not known if Vliet was among them.
