Ferran, Dora B.

Civic leader and businesswoman Dora Buckman Ferran was born in Boston in 1908 and graduated from Girl's High School in 1926. In 1931 she married Archibald H. Ferran, an art student, and they later moved to West Concord, Mass., to care for his ailing father. She ran an accounting firm, Concord Business Service, and served on a number of town committees. Archibald Ferran worked as a commercial artist for the Boston Globe and served as a Concord selectman. The couple had five daughters. Dora Ferran died in 1995.
