Ralph Allan Bradley, a native of Canada, received his B.A. (1944)and M.A. (1946) from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He completed his Ph. D (1949) in statistics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Bradley has been at several institutions, including McGill University (1949-1950); Virginia Polytechnic (150-1959); Rutgers (1954); the University of Cairo (1966-1967); Forida State (1959-1953); and the University of Georgia (1982- ).

Among Bradley's many awards is the R.O. Lawton Distinguished Professorship at Florida State. He was also elected a Fellow of the American Statistical Association (1957), the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (1961), and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (1963). He has also published extensively, producing over 35 articles since 1981.
