Mary Ockander (1876-1914) was an American immigrant from Sweden that served a mission for the Latter-day Saint Church.
Mary Ockander (1876-1914) was born in Sweden and immigrated to the United States around the turn of the 20th century. Shortly after moving to Salt Lake City, Mary was called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was sent to the Central States Mission. During her mission, Mary kept an intricate journal recording the talks and doctrines taught to her and other missionaries in conferences, her daily life, and her spiritual experiences. Following her mission, Mary married Gustave W. Forsberg, also a Swedish native, and started a family. Her descendents include Thomas (Ted) Edgar Lyon, Jr.
