Clinton Liberal Institute (Fort Plain, N.Y.).
Universalist secondary school established in 1831 in Clinton, N.Y., moved to Fort Plain, N.Y., in 1878 and merged with the Fort Plain Academy and Collegiate Institute. In 1891 the school added Military Academy to its name; it was incorporated into St. Lawrence University in 1901 after a fire destroyed the building in Fort Plain.
