Kristen R. Yount is associate professor of sociology, coordinator of the Sustainable Future Program at Northern Kentucky University.

Kristen R. Yount was on the faculty of Northern Kentucky University (1985-2010), serving most recently as professor of sociology. She is also the vice-president and director of research for E.P. Systems Group, an environmental policy consulting firm. During the early 1980s she interviewed miners in Colorado and Utah about the integration of women into underground coal mines as part of her dissertation research.
