  • 1908 - 1910 : Studied at National Academy of Design, New York, N.Y.
  • 1910: Studied at La Palette, Paris, France
  • 1912: Married Marguerite Thompson (died 1968)
  • 1913: Exhibited in Armory Show, New York, N.Y.
  • 1927 - 1930 : Executed sculpture “Mother and Child”
  • 1929 - 1957 : Instructor, Art Students League, New York, N.Y.
  • 1931: Awarded Logan Medal for sculpture, Chicago Art Institute, Chicago, Ill.
  • 1932: Commissioned to execute “Spirit of the Dance” in Radio City Music Hall, New York, N.Y. Awarded Logan Prize for watercolor, Chicago Art Institute, Chicago, Ill.
  • 1936 - 1940 : Executed sculpture “Youth”
  • 1937: Awarded commission by U. S. Treasury to execute Benjamin Franklin statue for the Post Office, Washington, D.C.
